The year 2022 is my fourth year of study in the US and it means a lot to me personally.

Academically, I graduated with a master's degree, got an offer for a Ph.D. and got an offer for a research master's degree from Cornell University (I didn't get to apply for the blog), and gave up the opportunity to go to Minnesota for a Ph.D. in graphic design after three months of agonizing and went to Cornell to be my girlfriend's "student", starting my career as a second master.

In terms of career, I also started to earn money in the United States, with the meager income paid by the RA job, and also took the SSN, had a small office in Cornell, and continued to be confused about building my future.

I bought a 49mm CPL for my girlfriend's GRIII, a small pocket camera that was slowly becoming less portable, replaced my Sony M3 with an M4, sold my 55mm f1.8, bought a 40mm f2.5 G, 50mm f1.2 GM and 70-200mm f2.8 GM, and replaced the 70-200mm f4 G with a Sigma 100-400mm (and a bunch of black and soft CPLs). 400mm (and a bunch of black and soft CPL filters); also fooled his girlfriend into buying a fuji XT-4; and a bunch of peak design accessories. (All are the trap of consumerism)

The journey, or timidly put off the May return home to Shanghai tickets. For more than three years I have not been able to go home. New York life also intermittently began. Moved from Savanah, Georgia to Ithaca, New York State for a long time.

I had a lot of free time in the first half of '22, so I took my camera and kept shooting on the street, forcing myself to take my camera with me whenever I went out. I couldn't help but pick out a few of my favorite photos to share at the end of the year.
